Cured Launches Month-Long Fundraiser For Farms

By Andra Zeppelin, Denver Eater The floods that ravaged Boulder and the surrounding areas nearly a year ago have had lasting effects. Farmers were especially hard-hit - and continue to struggle. Two of those in need of help are Oxford Gardens and BonaVida Growers and Cured launched a fundraising effort benefitting them. Starting today and until the end of September, Boulder's premiere cheese and artisanal provisions market, will be selling a special $10 sandwich called the PLT. All of the ingredients come from Colorado companies - Tender Belly Ham in a housemade porchetta, Cure Farm egg aioli, Avalanche Cheese Company's Cabra Blanca, BonaVida Growers' tomatoes, and Oxford Gardens' summer lettuce mix. Ten percent of the sale price of every sandwich purchased is returned to the two farms. http://denver.eater.com/archives/2014/09/05/cured-1.php
