We recently caught up with Julian and asked him a few questions about his journey so far:

When did you first get involved in your sport?

I started skiing in 8th grade. It just clicked, by the 3rd or 4th run of the day, I knew I'd be skiing my entire life.

What has been the most rewarding experience in your career?

What I always value the most in my career is being happy and healthy.

What has been your biggest accomplishment as an athlete?

Living my life in the mountains. I have world records in cliff jumping, so it's cool to have 'baseball card' stats like that, but I'm just in love with high mountain alpine environment. And how to navigate that mysterious world.

What is the best place you’ve visited because of your sport?

Oh man, that is like asking someone who their favorite child is.. haha. Japan, South America, Alaska, Europe, British Columbia, Utah, Montana, Colorado... love them all!

What’s your favorite Tender Belly product and why?

Habanero bacon! Best bacon in the world. Undefeated.

What advice do you have for young, aspiring athletes?

Work hard behind the scenes. You can be talented, what will separate you is having a good solid professional acumen.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I have really long hair....
