The leaves are changing, the air is crisp and small children everywhere are dressed like the stuff of nightmares. It is, my friends, time for Halloween. And this year, we’re taking our Halloween festivities beyond store-bought costumes and pumpkin beer. One of the best parts of holiday entertaining involves getting to enjoy your own delicious cooking. All the more reason to take your Halloween party apps and snacks up a notch – no candy required. Here, we count down our top 10 favorite Halloween recipes, some scary, some silly – all delicious. Toasted Cashew and Bacon Brittle: OK, maybe the scariest thing about this recipe is the number of hours it’ll take you to work off the calories. But any snack that combines the ever-Autumnal taste of cashew brittle with bacon is well worth it in our book. Click here to try it yourself. Staked Squash Bites: Stick with the fall feel with this scary-simple recipe. These make for fantastic finger food or a decadent side dish.
