Eden Schroeder: Tender Belly's Athlete of the Month June 2024

Eden Schroeder, a quadriplegic, has found immense joy and purpose through adaptive sports. She has embraced snow skiing, water skiing, and hand cycling, loving every challenge and triumph that each one brings. However, her true passion lies in competitive para swimming.

Returning to competition and athleticism after her injury has profoundly benefited her mental and physical health. Adaptive sports play a vital role in the disabled community, and Eden is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to experience and excel in so many of them.

The Shepherd Center has allowed me to experience so many adaptive sports and find my travel to para swim meet across the country. I am extremely grateful to them!

The team at Bike-On has gifted me a hand cycle that has allowed me to get back to "running" with my friends and cross train for swimming.

High Fives Foundation has gifted me mountain bike tires for my hand cycle which has allowed me to get back to doing things outside!

Being content with yourself and the people around you. Definitely have found it!
