If you make your way through the newly renovated Union Station, you will quickly notice the imposing Terminal Bar, located on the east side of the building. This spot was once the ticketing officeinside the Great Hall and the old windows were kept, giving guests a chance to share a little in the history of the building.
Now patrons will be able to order a drink from those windows, with the bar gearing up for the grand opening celebration on Saturday,July 26. The crew overseeing the beverage program includes Marcel Templet, formerly of the Capital Grille, Tables alum Brandon Hanson and Joe Hines, most recently of Dazzle.
Templet will spearhead the spirits, Hanson will lend his knowledge to the wine list and Hines will focus on beers, of which there will be a plentiful selection. Look for 30 tap offerings, with many from Colorado. Imbibers can enjoy cocktails like the zephyr—brandy, pineapple juice, orange curacao, maraschino liqueur, lemon juice and angostura bitters, as well as wine by the glass or bottle. A menu of burgers, brats, hot dogs and fries features choices like the Rio Grande, a burger topped with barbecue sauce, Tender Belly bacon, cheddar and onion. You can also enjoy views of Wynkoop Plaza and 17th Street from the bar's large patio.
