We couldn't be more excited to know and work with Josh Cassaday - Professional Long Drive Golfer and Golf Entertainer - as one of our Tender Belly sponsored athletes.

With club head speeds well over 150 MPH, Josh is ranked inside the Top 35 in the world. His longest drive in competition is 467 yards, highest clubhead speed is 156 mph, and highest ball speed is 225 mph.

We asked Josh a few questions so you could all get to know him better, and he gives us the scoop below:

  • When did you first get involved in your sport?

  • I won the Amateur Division at the 2015 Mile High Showdown with a drive of 406 yards. Since then, I have qualified for 3-straight World Championships.

  • What has been the most rewarding experience in your career?

  • As a Golf Entertainer, I have had the opportunity to hit drives and do some trickshots for nearly 100 different foundations and charities. Over the past few years, I have raised nearly $250,000 for various causes.
  • What has been your biggest accomplishment as an athlete?

  • Getting my first ball on the tee during the 2017 Volvik World Long Drive Championships televised live on Golf Channel! That was some pressure!!
  •

  • What is the best place you’ve visited because of your sport?

  • Long Drive has taken me all over the United States. I have been to Mexico to compete with Team USA and Canada for a couple charity events. Best place as of now is Vancouver, BC, Canada. I will be traveling to China for a competition this year though, I would assume that will be the new leader in the clubhouse.
  •

  • What’s your favorite Tender Belly product and why?

  • My favorite TB product is the No Sugar Dry Rub Uncured Bacon. WHY?! Because, bacon pairs perfectly with literally everything! #poweredbybacon
  •

  • What advice do you have for young, aspiring athletes?

  • You will never know how good you could possibly be at something unless you go after it! Don’t be afraid to take that leap and pursue your passion.
  •

  • What’s something most people don’t know about you?

  • I have only played one competitive round of golf in my life! I am a former division 1 college basketball player. Most people assume I played college golf, definitely not the case - I can just hit the SNOT out of a golf ball!
